FIRST SIGNS OF SPRING

MY DAFFODILS ARE BEGINNING TO BLOOM, AREN'T THEY BEAUTIFUL? I NEED TO GO OUT AND PICK A BIG BOUQUET, I JUST SNATCHED THESE AS I WAS ON MY WAY IN LAST NIGHT. A LOT OF THE TREES ARE REALLY BUDDING OUT, BUT I KNOW WE WILL HAVE MORE COLD WEATHER. I SEE PEOPLE AT WAL MART BUYING PLANTS AND I JUST SHAKE MY HEAD-IT IS NOT SPRING JUST YET!

We will have GREEN THUMBS IN THE PARK on April 29 this year. There will be educational programs,etc-tell you details later. It is nice to look forward to warmer weather and gardening season again, espescially when there is snow outside.

COLD WEATHER TAKES IT'S TOLL

THE COLD WEATHER WE HAVE HAD THIS WINTER HAS KILLED MY HUGE ROSEMARY BUSH THAT I HAVE HAD FOR YEARS. BETWEEN THE SOGGY GROUND AND THE COLD WE HAVE HAD THIS WINTER, WE WILL PROBABLY LOSE SEVERAL THINGS IN OUR GARDENS.WE CAN'T WORRY ABOUT IT, FOR EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON AS THE GOOD BOOK SAYS. JUST REPLANT AND THINK OF IT AS HELPING STIMULATE THE ECONOMY BY BUYING MORE.
